ADOPT
People have described what Yorkie Rescue of America does is nothing less than miraculous. Shelters come to Yorkie Rescue of America as their last hope. The transformation these dogs undergo is extraordinary and delights all who are involved in the process, especially those fortunate enough to adopt one of our Yorkies. Our goal is to make sure our dogs are placed in the ideal environment for their needs.
If you are interested in adopting one of our Yorkies, please fill out the adoption application. Once we receive it, you will be contacted within 48 hours to assess whether you and the dog you are interested in are an ideal match.
We do not fly or send our dogs on transport.

SAMSON
Hi, my name is Samson a.k.a. Sam Sam. I am a one year, nine month old, 10 pound Yorkie male, neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. I am a healthy and very energetic boy who loves toys and most of all loves my person. That’s all I want in the world, to be with my person. I will be your best friend, your shadow and shower you with unconditional love. I am very sweet and love to cuddle. I am shy at first with new people, but once you win me over, I am yours.
My ideal home would be a one or two person home without children or other pets. I get very jealous when attention is paid elsewhere. I was an only dog in my former environment which was an apartment and was never socialized with other dogs and very few people. I’m doing well with the dogs in my current foster home, but I get very jealous and would prefer to have my person all to myself. As long as I can follow you from room to room and just be wherever you are, I am quiet and happy. If you put me behind a gate and don’t let me go with you I will definitely remind you that you’ve left me behind. I am not destructive when I am left home by myself, but really prefer my person to be home. I will dance around you like you’ve been gone for 100 years even if you’ve just taken out the trash.
I’m learning to enjoy car rides in a booster seat as I was always put inside a carrier in the past. I never went for walks, but it’s something that’s very fun for me now. There is a fenced in safe area for me in my foster home and a dog door so I can go in and out whenever I want. I also use a potty station indoors. I am potty trained in my current environment.
My favorite thing is my red and white octopus which I carry everywhere. Once I’m comfortable with you, I will bring it to you and would love to play tug-of-war. I pretty much like anything that squeaks.
I’m still working on my socialization with new people and other animals. I bark if I’m scared. I need a family that will be patient with me while I get comfortable with them and a new environment. The only time I went out in the past was to go to the groomer or the vet so now I’m learning about this whole new world that’s out there. I am ready for my forever home and I’m ready to meet my new family. Is it you?
My adoption Fee is $500.00
ALDO
Meet Aldo, a 14 year-old 7 pound, purebred male Yorkshire terrier who is looking for his forever home.
This sweet little guy will happily follow you all around and just wants to be your buddy. He has an adorable personality.
He is great on car rides and calm around other small dogs. He rarely barks unless you leave the room without him, and then he’ll remind you where he is. He loves being with his person.
He recently had a dental and is now toothless, but that doesn’t stop him from finishing every drop of his meal and happily watching you finish every bite of yours.
Aldo is housebroken in his current environment. He likes to go outside, but will occasionally use a potty pad as well. We don’t think he has ever been for walks, but loves being outside, and walking around in the yard.
In his former home, Aldo had an eye injury, which was left untreated and sadly left him blind in one eye. That eye needs to be cleaned with sterile eyewash twice a day. He is a very good boy while you do it. He is also on a low-dose of hydrocodone once a day for cough. Other than that, he is healthy, happy and handsome.
He is fully vetted, including the ophthalmologist, is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Aldo is located in the Los Angeles area. He is ready and waiting for his forever family. Is it you? If interested, please fill out an adoption application. Adoption Fee is $300
